The Colony

Finally getting to check out The Colony, a movie I've been dying to check out since I first saw the Trailer! I've always loved these "end of the world, must survive" type of Movies.

The first movie to be shot at the decommissioned NORAD (North American Aerospace Defense Command) base in North Bay, Ontario, Canada, and hopefully not the last, such a great looking set which would be perfect for many movies. In The Colony, Earths survivors are forced underground by the next ice age, in a struggling outpost the survivors must fight to preserve humanity against a threat even more savage than nature.

Not only did I love this movie, I wish it was just a little bit longer to dive deeper into the story of how the ice age came along, even though thats not important one bit to tell the story of the movie, just that I thought it was a pretty cool concept and would have loved to see the world turn to ice. Shot on a low-ish budget of 16 Million it looks great the pace is set at a no time for boring parts pace, even though i would have loved those boring parts to kinda tie in some parts of the movie, where it has this "and with the magic of television feel"  lol.

But overall check this movie out!! you should not be disappointed.

The Last Exorcism Part 2

As Nell Sweetzer tries to build a new life after the events of the first movie, the evil force that once possessed her returns with an even more horrific plan...

Before i write my review I'd like to thank Instagram@PlentyOfHorror for keeping me entertained during this movie...

The Last Exorcism Part 2 is a Horror/Thriller Movie. If i could change that first sentence i would say The Last Exorcism Part 2 is a Boring/Predictable Movie.

Now if you've seen the first one your probably wondering why the hell would i check out the second one? and I can't Answer that for you, well actually I can, I love Horror movies and will check out every horror movie I get the opportunity to do so! While this movie wasn't all bad, the acting of Ashley Bell who played Nell was the only highlight of this movie, but even with the good acting job by her, she couldn't save this movie unfortunately, If you've seen any movie about Exorcism's in your time, then you've seen better, this has the feel of a amateur's first home video filmed with a nice camera but sloppily chopped together in the editing room with some very over used predictable special effects.

Maybe i'm being a little to harsh on it by stating this is a terrible movie, And I'm sure this movie is perfect for some, but for me the story moved at a pace to slow to keep my attention, I almost shut it off half way through but toughed it out like a champ haha, Eventually i will realize i should stop wasting an hour or 2 on horror movies rated PG-13 since there usually lacking anything that makes a Horror movie "Horror"

The Wicked is a movie about a Witch.

For most movies about Witches, the above sentence would have been the end of my review, for some reason in the past I could never really get into a Witch movie, but it's been a while so i decided to go ahead and check out The Wicked. Now in this case The Wicked may have parts that are predictable and a little cheesy but who the hell doesn't love cheese! especially when it's done right! The acting was good enough to keep my attention through out the film The girls were gorgeous especially Jess Adams now if you don't know who she is, keep an eye out for her I'm sure we'll be seeing alot more of her soon, well atleast i hope so! She play's Julie the new girl to just move to town, who get's invited to go camping and to test the old legend of The Witch who supposedly survived the Witch hunt in the 1700's and live's in a house in the forest who kills the people who break her windows lol, now i know, sounds cheesy but remember in this movie the cheese is good! it's not Cheez Whiz its like a nice Cheddar. This movie is defiantly worth checking out, if all low budget film's were this good I'd have a million movies to watch, It's entertaining from start to finish.
The Wicked is a low budget Horror film starring Devon Werkheiser, Justin Deeley, Jess Adams, Diana Hopper, Jackelyn Gauci, Chase Maser, Caitlin Carmichael and Jamie Kaler

The Wicked is the story of a witch who lives in a haunted old house in woods. Story has it, she survived the witch hunt of the 1700's. A story passed down from generations, it is believed by the town's people that if you throw a rock and break her window..."The Wicked" will get you!

The old folklore is revisited when a 7 year old girl turns up missing from her home The rumor around town was that the little girl had broken the witch's window the night before.

"THE SEASON OF THE EQUINOX, THE WITCH BESETS HER KILL. ONE LESS SOUL THE TOWN TO KNOW, TAKE AGAINST THEIR WILL."
